Thank You Partnership School Staff Members

Partnership School Staff members,

Thank you for the work you have done this year to provide your students with the care, support and education they need to pursue their dreams. In the midst of a very difficult year in which the State budget crisis expanded, the electorate choose not to pass a parcel tax to fund your schools, and attacks on public schools pressed on in the media, you have continued to get up each morning, come to school each day and put your hearts and energy into the students that you serve.  You are truly inspiring and we are proud to partner with you!  Your students and the broader society is lucky to have you.

While many people in our city talk about the need to improve our schools and the talk about the importance of education for our children, you are the ones that don't just talk about it but take action.  You are the ones that are truly changing and improving the lives of the students you serve.  You are the teachers that come to the classroom each and every day and work tirelessly to inspire your students and teach them to learn; you are the counselors that work through the many social and emotional issues that students bring to school each day, get them on track academically and give them confidence; you are the coordinators, coaches and deans who help teachers improve so that instruction is at the highest level and help support the development of students; you are the teaching assistants that support classroom teachers in educating students; you are the campus aides who help make campuses safe and care for students; you are the librarians who make libraries places of wonder and joy for students; you are the office staff who welcome parents and make sure the school is running smoothly; you are the plant managers and custodial staff that work to keep schools clean and ensure that students learn in an environment that is worthy of them; you are the community representatives that help get parents involved and help them feel like they are a part of the school; you are the foodservice workers that help ensure students are fed and able to focus on learning; you are the school staff that help in your unique roles to support your students; and you are the administrators who work tirelessly every day and late into the nights to lead your schools and to help ensure that everyone on campus is focusing on students first and improving in their roles.  You are incredible!

The students in the Partnership schools are lucky to have you all working so hard for them and caring so much about them.  Your students will reach their potential because of your hard work, commitment and care.  We on the Partnership support team are proud to work with you and to serve you in educating your students.  We congratulate you for finishing up another school year and for all of the things you have accomplished this year.  We are excited to improve our services and supports to you as we enter our third year of working with you.  We feel very lucky to work with you and are deeply dedicated to helping you find happiness and motivation in your jobs and helping you educate your students.

For those of you that are taking the summer off, have a great summer break.  It is well deserved.  For those of you working this summer, we look forward to seeing you on campus.  Congratulations finishing up the 2009-2010 school year.  We are thrilled to support you.

The Partnership Support Team
