First Annual Parent College Culmination
On June 24, the Family and Community Engagement (FACE) team hosted the First Annual Parent College Culmination!
200 Partnership parents from the Eastside to the Southside of Los Angeles converged on the Santee campus with Alicia Lara, the Vice President of Community Investment for the United Way of Greater Los Angeles delivering a keynote address about the importance of family engagement throughout the city. Parents who have taken our Parent College course received certificates for completing the program and several parents will received special recognition.
Over 900 parents have taken courses with the Parent College since its inception and Superintendent John Deasy has committed to taking the Parent College district-wide this Fall and is working with the Partnership to help roll it out.
