JPMorgan Chase Backpack Give-Away at Sunrise ES
On a rainy Friday morning in May, students were in a sunny mood as hundreds of students received FREE backpacks loaded with school supplies thanks to JP Morgan Chase and World Vision. All Sunrise students were gathered in the gym before school where they were greeted with a display of tables full of backpacks. The students' eyes lit up as they heard about all the supplies they were going to receive, and an army of Chase volunteers stood ready at the front of the gym to distribute the bags as students walked by on their way to class.
Not only did Sunrise students get a special gift that day, but a surprise awaited teachers as well. World Vision parked their Teacher Resource Center van on Sunrise's track, and every teacher was invited to go on a free shopping spree for classroom supplies!
