The Partnership is one of 32 organizations nationally that have been chosen to submit full applications for the Development Grant Competition to support parent and family engagement. Over 600 applications were received by the Department of Education, including 120 for family and community engagement development grant.
“The Partnership is excited by the opportunity to potentially expand its work around family and community engagement and ensure that even more parents understand how to support their child’s academic success,” said Ryan Smith, Senior Director, Family and Community Engagement for the Partnership.
The Partnership’s FACE program also recently announced a nearly half million investment by the Walton Foundation to expand its monthly “Parent College” program into three separate Los Angeles communities the Partnership serves.
